UAM Releases Homecoming Week Schedule


UAM Homecoming Week 2024

The University of Arkansas at Monticello has released the 2024 UAM Homecoming Week schedule. Homecoming events will take place from October 7-12.  

On October 9, UAM Student Activities will host the UAM Homecoming Bonfire on Stadium Drive, across from the softball and baseball fields, from 7 to 9 p.m. Students, alumni and friends are invited to attend the event for an evening filled with music, games and school spirit. On October 10, the UAM Department of Athletics will host its annual UAM Sports Hall of Fame Banquet. During the banquet, the 1977-1978 UAM Women’s Basketball Team and the 1988 UAM Football Team will be inducted into the UAM Sports Hall of Fame. On October 11, the UAM Alumni Association will host the UAM Alumni & Friends Lawn Party for the recipients of the 2024 A&M/UAM Alumni Awards. Eight alumni will be recognized in categories including the Achievement and Merit Award, the Continuing the Connection Award and the Young Rising Star Award. Award recipients for 2024 will include J. Shannon Fleming, Ed.D., Linda Teague Goodwin, Frank Groves, Ph.D., Donald “Duck” Harris, Rocky Lindsey, D.V.M., Joseph Lockwood, M.D., J.D. Neeley and Ryan M. Reyes, M.D., Ph.D.

On October 12, the A&M/UAM African-American Alumni Association will hold its annual reunion breakfast at 8:30 a.m. Contact Classie Jones-Green at 870-556-0527 for additional information and to purchase tickets.

Homecoming tailgating parties will be held from 10:30 a.m. to 1:30 p.m. on October 12 on Tailgate Row, adjacent to Weevil Pond. The Weevil Walk of Champions and Homecoming Parade will begin at 11:30 a.m. The coronation of the 2024 UAM Homecoming Queen will be held at 1:30 p.m., and UAM Football will kick off against Southeastern Oklahoma State University at 2 p.m. at the Willis “Convoy” Leslie Cotton Boll Stadium. During the game, UAM Cheer and the UAM “Pride of Southeast Arkansas” Marching Band will perform.
