Join us for Orientation as we roll out the Green carpet to welcome the newest members of the UAM family! Orientation is an exciting event for you to explore our beautiful campus, discover your new college town, and learn even more about our academic programs, housing, money matters, and student life. We can’t wait to welcome you into our Weevil family!

During Orientation you will have the chance to:

  • Meet other students and make new friends
  • Learn about academic expectations
  • Learn about the University’s services and resources
  • Familiarize yourself with the UAM campus
  • Meet with staff and administrators

Task List

  • Parking Permit
  • Be sure to have your vehicle registration and driver’s license, with you at Orientation on Monday, August 16, 2021 if you will have a vehicle on campus.
  • Looking for a work study job on campus? Bring 2 forms of ID, including 1 with your photo (valid Driver’s License, State ID card, Social Security Card &/or Birth Certificate; or a Passport).
  • Begin using your campus email. It is the official communication on campus.
  • Keep a copy of your insurance card in your wallet.
  • Check your "To Do List" in WeevilNet under Student Center tab, see image below.

Post-Orientation Checklist

Orientation is over. Now what? Use this checklist to make sure you're prepared and ready to go once classes begin. 

  • Pay your tuition.
  • Submit any outstanding documents for admission or financial aid.
  • Obtain a parking permit (if applicable).
  • Familiarize yourself with student services.
  • Be proactive about campus safety.
  • Register with Services for Students with Disabilities (if applicable).
  • Map out your classes.
  • Research options for purchasing textbooks.
  • Make sure you pay your tuition so you don’t get dropped from your classes!
  • If you are paying with financial aid, be sure to contact the Office of Financial Aid if you have questions. (870) 460-1050
