RESEARCH INTERESTS
Topically, my research addresses broad questions about the competitiveness of the
forest sector and focuses specifically on the dynamics of industry business and marketing
practices. Philosophically, my research goals center around inclusive and diverse
academic points of view to increase forest sector competitiveness.
My research program is based on the triple bottom line by a business writer, Elkington (1997), referring to the three pillars of sustainability: people, profit, and planet. Based on this framework, my research interests are including but not limited to:
- Workforce dynamics (gender-based leadership, organizational change)
- Inclusive education (scholar productivity, science inequality)
- Innovative value chains (softwood, hardwood, mass timber)
