HEI Program Coordinator
The University of Arkansas at Monticello (UAM) (www.uamont.edu), is seeking applicants for a full time position as a Higher Education Institution (HEI) Program Coordinator. UAM conducts background checks on all employees.
Responsibilities: Gathers information on available campus and community services and resources, along with data on student and faculty needs. Formulates collected data into recommendations to develop new or revise existing campus programs and presents to director. Interprets policies, procedures, rules, and regulations to students, faculty, and staff concerning programs in such areas as: admissions, scholarship, disability support services, and international and minority students. Offers technical assistance and suggestions in designing, planning, and implementing various functions associated with programs. Conducts frequent recruitment trips, and is heavily involved in admissions and special events. Travel and events could include weekends and/or nights. Assists with workshops concerning area of responsibility covering topics such as program planning and responsibilities, and communications skills. Attends campus and off-campus functions as assigned. Compiles information for various status and statistical reports concerning enrollment programs required by federal and state agencies and institutional administration. Performs administrative duties such as assisting with program policies and procedures, compiling information for budgets, and recommending appointment of students to various committees. Performs other duties as assigned in a multi-office setting. Reports to the Director of Admissions and Recruitment.
Qualifications: The formal education of a baccalaureate degree with a major in sociology, communications, public administration, or related field; plus two years experience in program administration or related area will be considered.
Salary: Pay grade C116 with a salary of $30,713 including excellent fringe benefits.
