Plant Maintenance Supervisor
The University of Arkansas at Monticello College of Technology-Crossett (www.uamont.edu) is
seeking applicants for a Plant Maintenance Supervisor.
Responsibilities: Maintenance of campus building and grounds; supervising assigned workers; maintaining campus vehicle pool by performing minor repairs and scheduling/coordinating services and major repairs; assisting with building and grounds security operations; compiling information for reports; inspect buildings, equipment, and grounds to determine needed maintenance; monitor jobs in progress and inspect completed projects for compliance to acceptable standards; handle complaints received from building areas such as room temperatures, equipment breakdown, partially cleaned offices, and unsafe facilities. Individual also must maintain and compile information such as inventory of equipment and supplies, job status reports, and budget documentation; attend staff meetings with agency/institution departmental personnel and make recommendations on new policies and/or procedures; must be willing to work flexible hours as needed to accommodate campus activities and special project assignments; and performs related responsibilities as required or assigned.
Qualifications: Minimum qualifications include the formal education equivalent of a high school diploma; plus six years of experience in plant maintenance activities or related area, including one year in a supervisory capacity. Other job related education and/or experience may be substituted for all or part of these basic requirements. Must have knowledge of the methods and techniques of building, equipment, and grounds maintenance. Must have ability to plan and schedule work activities of skilled and semi-skilled workers; ability to determine building, equipment, and grounds maintenance needs; and ability to maintain records and compile information for reports.
Salary: Pay grade C115 with a beginning salary of $29,251 including excellent fringe benefits.
