Candace Cox’s Senior Art Exhibition at Glassblock Gallery
Candace Cox’s senior art thesis exhibition, Masquerading Insects, will be held from March 31 through April 7 in the Glassblock Gallery in the Fred J. Taylor Library and Technology Center at the University of Arkansas at Monticello. Her public reception will be held on Thursday, March 31, from 5 to 6:30 p.m.
Cox’s exhibition focuses on paintings of loose and gestural depictions of insects interacting with floras. “In my paintings, chaotic lines are used in a pastel setting to capture the energy of nimble creatures interacting with their environment,” Cox said.
The exhibition will be open to the public from March 31 through April 7. The gallery’s hours are Monday through Friday from 9 a.m. to 4 p.m.
