Emerging Nurse Alumni Leader
Who are the Emerging Nurse Alumni Leader nominees?
The nominees are graduates of the University of Arkansas at Monticello School of Nursing
(UAM SON). The nominees are graduates from either the Bachelor of Science in Nursing
(BSN) Program or the Associate of Applied Science in Nursing (AASN) Program. Nominees
are recognized for commitment to excellence in the nursing profession using the following
categories: Nursing Service, Professionalism, Innovation in Nursing, Leadership in
Nursing, Advancement of the Nursing Profession.
Purpose of the Emerging Nurse Alumni Leader Award:
Promoting nursing excellence and professional growth of the UAM SON graduates in the
nursing profession of Arkansas and beyond. We at the school of nursing want to recognize
the accomplishments of our previous graduates and are excited to share with our community
and fellow professionals the accomplishments of our distinguished alumni.
Nomination Submission
The UAM SON invites nominations from all areas across the nursing profession. The
nominee must hold an unencumbered nursing license and be a BSN or AASN graduate of
the UAM SON. The nominee may practice outside of the state of Arkansas. Nominations
should be submitted from individuals who can attest to the nurse’s excellence. Nominees
may self-nominate but must attach, at minimum, two reference letters to support their
application. The attached nomination form must be filled out in its entirety.
Selection Process:
The Emerging Nurse Alumni Leader Panel will evaluate the nominee applications through
a scoring process. A save the date will be provided to all nominees to attend the
Nursing Alumni Reception where the nominees will be honored. The Emerging Nurse Alumni
Leader will be announced at the Nursing Alumni Reception.
