Ebarb’s Senior Art Thesis Exhibition at UAM Glassblock Gallery
Ashlynn Ebarb’s senior art thesis exhibition, “Suppression,” will be on display from November 6 through November 20 in the Glassblock Gallery in the Fred J. Taylor Library and Technology Center at the University of Arkansas at Monticello. A public reception will be held on Thursday, November 14, from 6 to 7:30 p.m.
Ebarb’s exhibition features works in various mediums, including pen and ink, graphite, watercolor, oil, photography and collage, addressing issues of anxiety, depression, angst and apprehension. By depicting images of herself through self-portraits and other representations, Ebarb’s work provokes emotive qualities related to obscured and suppressed issues of mental health.
The Glassblock Gallery is free and open to the public. The gallery’s hours are Mondays from 9 to 11 a.m. and 12 to 4 p.m.; Tuesdays from 9 a.m. to 12 p.m.; Wednesdays from 9 a.m. to 4 p.m.; and Thursdays from 9 a.m. to 4 p.m.
