Morphis’ Senior Art Thesis Exhibition at UAM Glassblock Gallery
Kai Morphis’ senior art thesis exhibition, “Memories Preserved in Nostalgia,” will be on display from April 18 through April 29 in the Glassblock Gallery in the Fred J. Taylor Library and Technology Center at the University of Arkansas at Monticello. A public reception will be held on Thursday, April 18, from 5:30 to 7 p.m.
Morphis’ exhibition is composed of paintings, photographs and digital drawings of abandoned buildings in Southeast Arkansas. Morphis uses thick brushstrokes and vivid colors to bring new life to old structures.
The Glassblock Gallery’s hours are Mondays from 9 to 10 a.m. and 11 a.m. to 1:30 p.m.; Tuesdays from 9 a.m. to 12 p.m. and 1:30 to 3 p.m.; Wednesdays from 9 a.m. to 1 p.m.; Thursdays from 9 a.m. to 2 p.m.; and Fridays from 9 a.m. to 1 p.m.
