Renewal Criteria for Institutional Scholarships

For scholarship renewal, students must make academic progress toward earning a degree and be in good standing with the University. Students must earn at least a 3.0 cumulative GPA by the end of the spring semester each academic year (fall and spring). Only UAM coursework will count towards GPA and credit hour completion for scholarship purposes. Students must complete 27 credit hours with a 3.0 GPA by the end of the spring semester of their freshman year. Students must then complete 30 credit hours with a 3.0 GPA by the end of the spring semester every year after the freshman year.

 

SCHOLARSHIPS FOR CURRENT UAM STUDENTS

  • Sophomore (30-59 hours completed) $750 per semester.
  • Junior (60-89 hours completed) $1,000 per semester.
  • Senior (90+ hours completed) $1,500 per semester.
  • Must have attended UAM at least two semesters and earned 30 hours for the academic year.
  • Must be pursuing first bachelor’s degree with a declared major.
  • Must be meeting Satisfactory Academic Progress with a minimum 3.0 cumulative GPA.
  • Must not also be receiving another UAM institutional scholarship.
  • Renewal criteria: Scholarships are awarded competitively -- prior recipients may be considered.
